The goal of this workshop is to provide early career academics with strategies, methods and insights to navigate through and make their first few years in their respective positions successful. Providing a space for community building and networking is also a key function of this year’s early career workshop. There are a number of activities planned which include discussions with journal editors, presentations and conversations with leaders in the learning sciences field, a focus on participant identified early career challenges, and opportunities for participants to present their research ideas and receive constructive feedback.
The Early Career workshop is on Monday from 2-5 PM in rooms 121 and 123 and on Tuesday from 9 AM to 6 PM (with lunch break) in rooms 330 and H124. At 6 PM is a getting acquainted cocktail party/reception for Doctoral Consortium, Early Career and First-timers.
