Welcome reception, Monday June 8th

An informal Welcome Reception is organised by the City of Gothenburg with drinks and finger food. This event will follow the final sessions on Monday evening on June 8 between 18.45–20.00 at Restaurang Valand.

The reception is free of charge to all registered conference delegates. Please observe that you need to have registered for the reception when registrating for the conference. You will find two tickets together with your conference badge. These tickets will allow you two drinks at the bar. There will also be possibilities to buy additional drinks.



The Welcome Reception will take place at Restaurang Valand, Kungsportsavenyn 19. It is situated 800 meters from the conference venue and it takes about 10 minutes on foot to get there. Please note that the reception is on Vasagatan 41 and not the art school next to it (which also is called Valand). There are student volunteers that lead the way from Pedagogen A to Valand at 18.30.

Barbecue, Tuesday June 9th

On the evening of June 9 between 19.00-20.30, there will be a barbecue at the Faculty of Education. Drinks will be served by the legendary Jazz club Nefertiti, which is situated in the basement of Pedagogen C. Nefertiti will keep open after the BBQ and there will also be a DJ playing music.



In the conference bag, there are two tickets that can be used for drinks. It is also possible to buy drinks from the bar. Please note that according to Swedish alcohol regulations, your are not allowed to bring the drinks from the place you bought it – you cannot bring them back into the University.

The Barbeque takes place on the yard between Pedagogen B and C.

Conference Dinner, Wednesday June 10th

The Conference Dinner will take place on June 10th between 19.30-22 at River Café. The restaurant is situated on the Pier on the other side of the River (Göta Älv).



Please observe that you must have signed up for the dinner in connection with your registration for the conference. You should bring your name tag to the dinner since this works as a ticket.

There will be busses that start from the Faculty at 19.00, which take participants to and from the conference dinner. The buses leave from the street between House A and House B. They then leave from the Restaurant at 22.30.

It is also possible to get there and back by taking regular buses or by taking a ferry. Bus 16 in the direction of Eketrägatan leaves from Grönsakstorget (right next to House A) and stops two hundred meters from the restaurant at Eriksbergstorget. There is a ferry towards Röda Sten that stops at Rosenlund (relatively close to the Faculty) as well as Eriksbergstorget.
