Postdoctoral Scholar on Collaboration, Small group Work; Computer-Supported Collaborative Work at the AI Institute for Student-AI Teaming

We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher to join the newly established National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Institute for Student AI Teaming ( which aims to develop AI technologies to facilitate rich socio-collaborative learning experiences by engaging with students and teachers. In this position, you will work with a multidisciplinary research team to deepen our understanding of collaborative learning, small group work, and computer supported collaborative learning/work (broadly) and as it relates to AI-enhanced K-12 education (more specifically). The job responsibilities of this position include: conducting and publishing original research on collaboration; facilitating data collection in both lab- and classroom- settings; and participating in the shared governance of the Institute.

You will work with Dr. Sidney D’Mello and Dr. Peter Foltz and a vibrant research team encompassing researchers in Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Psychological Sciences, & Education. The position offers a unique postdoctoral training experience and unsurpassed publishing opportunities within multi-disciplinary, multi-institution, grant-funded projects. You will be encouraged to publish extensively, advance your own research program, develop advanced technical skills, strengthen your research portfolio, develop leadership skills, and gain expertise in authoring grant proposals.
