The University of Utah’s Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank with primary responsibilities in the Instructional Design and Educational Technology (IDET) program.
IDET faculty supervise master’s degree candidates in the IDET program and Ph.D. candidates in the Learning and Cognition doctoral program, as well as contributing to the training of pre-service teachers in the Urban Institute of Teacher Education.
Applicants should demonstrate a high-quality program of research with strong theoretical foundations focused on technology-based learning. Multiple areas of specialization in educational technology will be considered, but researchers in any of the following areas particularly are encouraged to apply:
- Educational data mining
- Adaptive and/or personalized learning systems
- Online learning/instruction
- Learning with virtual reality, 3D materials, or immersive systems
