IMPORTANT—ISLS2022 Deadline extended to Sunday, November 21

Dear ISLS members,  

It has recently come to our attention that the ISLS2022 annual conference website has some incorrect links that have made submitting a contribution to the conference difficult. We sincerely apologize for this oversight and we are working very hard to fix this problem and fully anticipate it to be resolved very soon. 

However, we recognize that the confusion, stress, and hardship caused by this issue requires some action and therefore we are extending the submission deadline. 

The new extended deadline is Sunday 21st, 23:59:59 PST. The EasyChair deadline setting has already been changed to reflect this extension. Please visit the following urls:

JLS Outstanding Paper (2022): Utilizing dance resources for learning and engagement in STEM

This paper authored by Folashadé Solomon, Dionne Champion, Mariah Steele and Tracey Wright received the Outstanding Paper Award from the Journal of the Learning Sciences. As the selection panel comments, “By employing culturally responsive pedagogy, the authors established a connection between the learning of physics and dance education, thereby promoting access and equity…The meticulous analysis provided insights into how dance, as an embodied form of knowledge, facilitated a transformation in the black girls’ relationship with physics.”
